Katrina is a certified coach with 18 years of experience in community engagement, including 10 years in elected positions. As BC's former Minister of State for Child Care, she laid the groundwork for a new $10-a-Day child care system. Katrina currently serves as President of 安信 Community Savings, the first Chinese Canadian and Chinese-language credit union initiative in BC. Her children’s book, A Stronger Home, dedicated to raising awareness about family violence, is available for pre-order through Orca Book Publishers.

Katrina recognizes her privilege in advocating for equity, child care and education, mental health, and anti-gender-based violence, drawing from her years of work and lived experiences. Katrina believes that—celebrating you for who you are—is one of the most powerful ways to dismantle systemic inequities.
